Setup & Analysis

Common questions about connecting, configuring, and analyzing data with DAISCH tools.

DS_RVision is a native Windows application (Windows 10/11) designed for visual evaluation and parameter configuration.

For Linux or Ubuntu environments (common in Robotics/ROS), we provide open-source C++ drivers and ROS nodes instead of a GUI tool. Please check our "Drivers & SDKs" page for Linux support.
Our Evaluation Kits use standard CP210x USB-to-UART bridges. In most Windows 10/11 systems, the drivers are installed automatically via Windows Update.
If your PC does not recognize the device, you can download the standard Virtual COM Port (VCP) drivers from the chip manufacturer's website.
Yes. DS_RVision records data in standard CSV (Comma Separated Values) format. The log files include timestamps, acceleration/gyro data, and fused Euler angles, which can be directly imported into MATLAB `readtable()` or Python `pandas.read_csv()` for offline analysis.
Yes. When you click "Write to Flash" in DS_RVision, the parameters (such as baud rate, output frequency) are saved to the sensor's non-volatile memory and will persist after a reboot.
The default factory baud rate is typically 115200 bps depending on the model (check your datasheet). DS_RVision includes an "Auto-Scan" feature that attempts to cycle through common baud rates to find your device automatically.
Yes. You can open multiple instances of DS_RVision software. Each instance can bind to a different COM port, allowing you to visualize and log data from multiple sensors simultaneously for comparison testing.
Yes. DS_RVision is a free utility tool provided for all DAISCH customers. You can download the latest version from this page without any license key or subscription fee.
